For 2026 the championship which will incorporate a mixture of short, medium and long races. Scoring and rules are as follows:
- You must be signed up as Insch Trail Running Club and wear an ITRC top/vest/jacket (weather dependant obviously) when competing in the race.
- Scoring will be simple and based on ITRC finishing position only. So first ITRC male or female gains 100 points, 2nd – 99 points, 3rd – 98 points etc.
- You must complete 6 races in total, including one short, one medium, and one long.
- Your best six positions will be counted, however if you complete more than 6 races you will gain an additional 5 points per race.
- Completing the Scottish Hill Running Chamionship series, or Long Classic series, you gain 100 points which can be counted as one of the six races.
